Register before October 11th and receive a $10 discount. No spectator or pit riding. Medical insurance is the responsibility of each rider. Riders under 18 years of age MUST have photo proof of age and a Parent or Guardian present or notarized consent.

Ressler Chevrolet-Subaru is excited to announce its 4rd Annual Customer & Military Appreciation Event on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the dealership located at 1500 2^nd Street NE in Mandan. The local car dealer will serve up free hot dogs and hamburgers, show off a slew of local classic and muscle cars, host a silent auction and collect free-will donations to help those that serve.

Saturday’s event is expected to draw more than 1,000 people and aims to garner more than $4,500. All proceeds raised will benefit local families of deployed soldiers through the Military Emergency Relief Fund. Last year Ressler Chevrolet-Subaru customers and area residents helped generate more than $3,500.

Silent auction items from generous local businesses include a Nintendo Wii, portable DVD player, vacation packages, stay at Prairie Knights Casino, golf pass to Hawktree, coolers, car washes and more.

Too often, on internet classified websites such as BismanOnline.com, "scammers" are somewhat of a fact of life, and we are in a constant battle to find them, remove their accounts and keep them, as much as possible, from contacting our customers.

Overall, we have implemented a huge number of items to stop these people, most of whom are from out of state or out of country, from accessing the site, but, they many of them find ways around our blocks.   We do pride ourselves in being able to block more of these scammers than most classified web sites do, but we have more work to do.

 First, as a consumer or seller, it is important to be smart when reviewing a message you receive from a potential buyer.   Here are some Red Flags that should tip you off.

1.  They want to send you a cashiers check through the mail -
2.  They are from out of state or from out of the country
3.  They have broken english
4.  In their message, they don't specifically mention the actual item you are selling, (this is because they copy and re-use the same message in every response)
5.  They ask you to contact them via their email address instead of using our online system

When you do feel you have found a scammer, be sure to notify us via our contact link in order to report them

 What we are Doing

As we mentioned, we have already done a large number of things to block these scammers, and as a result, approx. 90% of all scammers aren't able to log in to the site at all.

To battle the remaining 10%, within the next 30 days we will be implementing an account approval system, that requires our support staff to approve a new user account prior to them being able to send any messages.  We will have more information on this coming soon as we approach the launch of this new feature.
