Resizing your photo with Windows Paint2009-01-02If your image is not in the proper file format or size you can edit the image to make it more compatible with our system. You can do these editing options in most photo editing programs but we will show you how to do so in Windows Paint program as this is the most accessible to the majority of users. If you are experiencing an error message such as "Invalid Function Name" , long load time or another error message when trying to upload a photo click here to determine what is wrong with the image you are trying to upload. If you have determined that the problem with your photo is the file size continue with the instructions below. Right click on the image and choose Open With>Paint
Click on Image> Resize/Skew in the menu bar.
The following screen will appear. To edit the size of the photo simply reduce the numbers in the Horizontal and Vertical boxes. The default is 100% so if you want to make the image smaller enter in 75 both boxes to reduce the image size equally. Click OK. This will leave you with 75% of your original image size. You may have to repeat this step to reduce the image size enough to get it below 2mb.
Now you need to save the newly formated image. To do so click File>Save As... in the menu bar.
First know where you are saving the image. Most people either save it to their desktop or their My Pictures folder. You may want to rename the image in the File name field if you don't want to overwrite your original file. Also make sure the file save as type is JPEG or .jpg.
Now try uploading your image again to your ad.
