REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

VISION COUNCILS IDENTIFY COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

Missouri Slope Areawide United Way is requesting proposals from member agencies and non-profit agencies in the community that are not currently considered United Way agencies. The Vision Councils on Children & Families, Addiction & Violence, Basic Needs, Senior Services, and Special Needs have each identified community initiatives to be addressed by applicants.

Grants will be awarded through a competitive process to applicants that set forth to provide meaningful, measurable and direct service delivery. The spirit of this community impact initiative is to engage the community in the process of identifying, prioritizing and responding to human needs.

Interested member agencies and area non-profits can obtain the request for proposals and evaluation form on the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way website at www.msaunitedway.com. Proposals must be submitted electronically and received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009. The funding period of the grant is January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010.
