Apply in person at 1227 Park Ave (1 block South of Jack's Steackhouse) or call 258-5437 Opening: Child Care Specialist - (Full-time and Part-Time Options) Qualifications: The person selected for this position must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the requirements of Burleigh County Social Services. This person must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children and adults, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the educational philosophy of Super Kids Jr. Academy. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Help Plan and implementing the program for child care in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Super Kids Jr. Academy. Will be responsible for the supervision and care of children. Gear the program to the needs of individual children, with concern for their interests, challenges, special talents, and individual styles and paces of learning. Plan and preparing the child care environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies. Treat children with dignity and respect. Help children become aware of their roles as integral members of a group. Be responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, dιcor, and learning environment of the child care room. Attend all staff meetings. Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth. Plan and implement methods of establishing a positive liaison with children's parents and caregivers. Conduct parent/caregiver conferences on children's adjustment and behavior. Assist in the ongoing evaluation procedures needed to assess the developmental levels of the children. Promote public awareness of Super Kids Jr. Academy. Must be physically able to lift and carry children and equipment. Will be aware of and follow all emergency procedures. Will provide own transportation. Must be able to hear and understand spoken language, read and understand written language, and demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally.
