Selling my 2019 Ford Fusion SE. I want to be completely transparent about the condition so there are no surprises for whoever buys it.

CURRENT MECHANICAL CONDITION

The vehicle needs an engine.

It was recently inspected by a mechanic. Their exact notes were:

"Scan tested. Found gas in cooling system. Engine is bad, causing overheating. Both lower front ball joints bad. Axles good. Brakes good. No repair at this time."

In simple terms: the engine has failed and is putting combustion gases into the cooling system, causing the vehicle to overheat. The engine will need to be replaced.

The mechanic also found that both lower front ball joints need to be replaced.

The same inspection noted:

Axles: Good

Brakes: Good

Because of the engine issue, I am selling the car as a project/repair vehicle and am not representing it as a reliable running/driving car.

Transmission replaced January 16, 2026

The transmission was replaced at Durham Transmission Repair in Durham, NC.

The repair included:

Also including (2) additional tires that still have "life" on them. I would say they are a little more than halfway worn.

A large portion of those miles came from driving the vehicle back and forth between North Dakota and North Carolina during college.

Cosmetically, the car is in good overall shape for the mileage.
