6.5 Grendel AR-15

I built this several years ago to be a compact, brush-walking deer rifle, but every time deer season rolls around, I always end up taking a different rifle with me. Upon closer inspection, you can see its got that classy fall camo that probably pairs well with your uncles mudflaps.

The lower is an Aero Precision X15 lower. It has a compact Rock River Arms Entry A1 stock with its own shorter buffer tube, recoil spring, and buffer for compactness. I dont recall what lower parts kit was used, but a Hera Arms grip, a 10-round C-Products Grendel magazine, and Schmid Tool polished nickel teflon trigger finish out the lower.

The upper is also Aero Precision. The handguard was taken in trade, so I dont know much about it besides it being 11 inches in length with full picatinny on top and 3 sides of keymod. The barrel was custom ordered from Deadshot Barrels; it is 14.5" cerakoted in OD green with 8" twist. It has less than 100 rounds through it, it was quick to find a load it liked, and it has always shot very well. I did scorch the cerakote near the muzzle when I made my first attempt at silver soldering the muzzle device in place. The SilencerCo ASR 3-port brake/suppressor mount is pinned and welded instead, bringing it past legal 16" rifle length. It has a Faxon 6.5 Grendel Type II bolt carrier group, BCM vertical grip, bipod stud adapter, and WMD nickel boron charging handle.

The scope is a 1.5-8x32mm Vortex Razor LH with the G4 BDC reticle in an Aero Precision mount. The whole scope/mount assembly weighs less than a pound, and its a Razor, so it has a beautiful image that pops out at you with zero tunnel effect at all and edge-to-edge brightness and clarity.

I took it to the range again last fall to check zero before deer season, and the first shot was still dead center with my handloads (123gr Hornady EL-M with 27.6gr of Ram TAC at 2.25 o.a.l.).

$800 for the rifle only, or $1,400 as pictured with the Razor. I prefer cash but will consider interesting gun trades.
