Prairie View Landscaping & Nursery, Inc. has been serving the Bismarck, North Dakota and surrounding areas since we were founded in 2005. We employ a team of about 120 talented professionals across four main divisions. Our full range of services includes commercial and residential landscape design and installation, landscape maintenance, irrigation service, aggregate and soil delivery, excavating, and commercial snow removal. In addition to the landscaping side of our business, Prairie View is also a grower of premium nursery stock on about 60 acres. Administrative headquarters located in Baldwin, ND about 6 miles north of Bismarck. The nursery supplies plant material to landscapers and retail customers, as well as providing for all our own landscaping projects. We take on all kinds of projects, large or small.

Salary: $41,600 $73,000/yr (Based on Experience & Desire)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Create a layout for construction using tools such as rules and pencils

Read and interpret blueprints for a structural concept

Measure, cut, and shape wood materials using tapes, saws, and chisel

Assemble and join structural components with the aid of nails, screws or adhesives

Oversee the selection of construction raw materials to specify type and quantity of required materials

Ensure the positioning and alignment of structures using spirit levels, rules, and surveying equipment such as theodolite

Construct stairs, tables, cabinet, racks, and numerous wooden fixtures

Install pre-constructed materials/structures such as insulators and cabinets in homes and offices

Implement health and safety standards when carrying out job operations to ensure public and environmental safety

Remove and replace damaged or worn-out parts of structures

Operate power implements such as circular saws, nail guns, and sanders

Construct frames/structures for casting of concrete during building construction

Create structures that meet the needs and requirement of a client.

Qualifications:

Education and Training: at least a high school diploma with 1-2 years of experience, minimum in carpentry, drywall, electrical, and/or plumbing

Physical Strength: Requires strength in lifting/handling of materials

Math Skills: Mathematical principles when carrying out construction layouts and taking measurement of materials

Mechanical Skills: Operating and maintaining a variety of tools.
