Vintage Volkswagen Bus or Bug Wanted to Buy - VW -

In search of left for dead Volkswagen buses up to 1971 and Volkswagen bugs up to 1967. Willing to consider any model and condition, running or not.

The buses I'm after have the "split" front window, these models were built up to 1967. From 1968 and on, all VW bus models had the one piece windshields. I'd also be interested in buses from 1968 to 1971 without the split front window, especially Westfalia campers and single cab or double cab trucks. But my main focus is split front window buses.

The bugs I'm looking for have a split oval rear window, oval rear window or large back window. All of these body styles were made up to 1967.

For both the bug and the bus, the more original the better. Original paint/patina preferred. I would also pay a finder's fee for a bus and/or bug that I end up buying - the older the vehicle and the more original/complete it is, the more $ I would pay. Finder's fee's start at $400 and can exceed $1,000 - depends on the year, model and originality.

Ideally the bus or bug would be a "roller" for shipping, but it doesn't have to be. I live in Maine but grew up in Wisconsin and I'm just crazy enough to make the trip for the right bus/bug.

Original Title is not necessary, all I need it a written bill of sale. But if you have an original Title, I'd definitely take it.
