1998 Chevrolet Express 3500 Cutaway Custom Stealth Camper - 8000$ OBO

Selling my Camper that is a custom build I made. I am not a professional craftsman by any means. Its a bit rough around the edges, but I am confident in the build being solid. Can be a bit challenging when it comes to filling water and opening rear drop down door....can be explained later, just requires a bit of dexterity. Basically sacrificed some convenience to keep it stealthy. Just a heads up, if you are taller than 5'10", it will be difficult to stand up straight or use the shower.

Lived in it for a year after I finished so everythings fully tested and working. While it may be challenging, this is a build that can be lived in year round. I spent 2 winters in it. Fully equipped for year round Boondocking at the most extreme.

2x3 framing on the walls and floor with R13 insulation, r21 on the top. Walls are Cedar tounge and groove and sealed. Has sealed and vented propane box, sit down shower, plenty of storage, bed, sink, ect. Rear door was customized to drop down into a patio that was scrapped last minute but now leaves a vented space between rear wall and drop down door to store around 20 gallons of fuel, generator, another 10g of water or whatever else. Can be ran on shore water, and can even tap into an external water heater if you have the means. In the chance that someone wants to move in right away, I have no problem helping set everything up since you need to keep the heat going in the winter with it all hooked up. BERGS fuel system and 6 gallon fuel tank that hooks up to generator and allows it to run full blast for several days. Its a cap and hose that uses siphoning to pull fuel from a seperate tank. Generator only has a built in 1 gallon tank. - 200$

Along with everything listed above, all the plumbing, carpentry, finish work, bed, shower and parts, Costed me a minimum 5000$

The vehicle itself has a new starter, new spark plugs and wires, new radiator that cools coolant, oil, and transmission fluid. New coolant, Transmission fluid, differential gear oil. New Falken Wildpeak tires x6 - 1500$ with 500 miles on them (this van is a dually) with reciepts for the warrantys. This van is a reliable workhorse. Been on multiple long distance trips no problem. 153k miles. Battery only 2 years old.

Downsides - as typical for older chevys, on longer trips (4+ hours) check engine light will come on for exhaust O2 sensors. Never affected performance, and easy to clear the code with a cheap OBD2 code reader at menards if it bothers you. The exhaust has some rusted out spots and one of the two exhaust headers have a crack, so that might have something to do with check engine light. also, exhaust is on the louder side but not intolerable. The wiring under the box is a tangled mess...was like that when i got it and I just made it worse. Thankfully, you shouldn't need to mess with it. I have a 4 prong on the back for towing. I was able to top out at 80 mph towing 1000lbs, but any more than that I have no idea how it would handle. the box on the van itself is 2500 - 3000 lbs with no fuel or water but GVWR is maxxed out with fuel and water so you get barely 5 miles to the gallon. The plumbing can be confusing, but I will make sure to label everything. That and just a few little things here and there that might be a bit more difficult than say when using a proper camper.

I also have a 2 wheel dolly trailer for towing vehicles w/ 71-72 inch wheelbase (smaller Vehicles) that I am selling.

I also have a 2024 Yamaha Superjet with 50 hours i'd part with for an extra 10k if someone was really interested
