Large cow/calf and yearling operation seeking ranch tech. Located on the North Dakota/South Dakota board along the Missouri River.

Job Responsibilities:

-Working with cattle in our backgrounder and cow-calf operations; following protocols set in place by ranch manager. This includes: feeding, watering, minerals and doctoring while keeping detailed records.

-Work and sort cattle as necessary- doctoring, tagging, vaccinating, castrating etc. Work cattle through scheduled events, such as brandings, fall shots, weening etc.

-Run large equipment when required

-Running feed wagon throughout winter while distributing proper rations

-Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working condition using preventative maintenance and other means when required. It is expected that vehicles and machinery are well taken care of inside and out.

-Maintain all structures- keep neat, clean and organized at all times

-Check, maintain existing fences and build new fence lines

Skills and Experience:

-Experience handling cattle and horses

-Self-starter with the ability to prioritize the workload

-Equipment and maintenance experience

-Communication and problem-solving skills

-Willingness to learn and a positive attitude

-Ability to work long hours

-Ability to work with little direction once fully trained
