Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Provide clerical and administrative support in the processing and posting of customer payments; including preparation of payments for processing, researching customer accounts, and preparing deposits. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalency; and
Ability to operate payment processing equipment and understanding of basic bookkeeping concepts such as debits and credits normally acquired through accounting coursework or one year of office experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Opens and balances payments in preparation for imaging.
Assists in payment processing, including imaging documents, keying corrections, assists in deposit process, balance and direct payments, endorses/encodes checks and prepares bank deposit.
Balances multiple payment batches for deposit.
Sorts outgoing mail and research customer accounts.
Updates mailing addresses.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
