Savage Collectors! Model 99 Brush Gun in .358 caliber

Introduced in 1977, The 99-358 commonly known as the Brush Gun has a straight grip, uncheckered stock, with a heavy beavertail forend and finger grooves. It has a 22" round tapered barrel, tang safety, gold plated cocking indicator, rotary magazine with shell counter, vivid case coloring on the lever, original front sight, folding rear sight and a thick, factory correct, recoil pad. It was drilled and tapped at the factory. Production ceased in 1980.

The rifle had been fired before I purchased it, but the previous owner said it was less than a box of shells. There is no evidence that a scope has ever been mounted. There are insignificant marks to the bluing or the wood.

The rifle is about as nice as a fired rifle can be. I don't have the box.

The pictures hardly do this beautiful, 4-year production rifle justice.

Guns International has one listed (#: 102496467) by Dewey's for $1,995 with condition not even close to mine. If you're a serious Savage collector and you don't have one of these in your collection you should get in contact with me.
