For sale THE BEST STARTING VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED! 1982 S-1900 International truck, shortened 8' with a dodge dually pickup box on it. It has a roll bar in the box, the air tank, and a slide out for ease of loading and unloading. The slide out has a moisture proof cover so you can keep some things covered and dry. There is no hitch on this truck, so if you want one, put on whatever works for you. This truck is powered by an International DT466 turbo diesel engine with a new 140 amp alternator, a new starter, and a 3' long x 5" diameter stainless exhaust system coming out of the hood. This truck has an Allison 5 speed automatic that we just replaced the ring gear / flex plate as it was missing some teeth. The rear end had 5.38-1 gears which made 55 mph your top speed. It now has been rebuilt including 3.55-1 gears which gets you up to about 82 mph on the highway. Steering is tight which allows you to cruise the speed limit. The box and doors were painted in the spring of 2025, the hood was just done in September. Note that the hood has 3 ea. 1955 Buick portholes on each side. Door decals were put on last spring. These can be removed so you could put whatever you want on the doors or just leave them black. The cab needs minimal body work and paint yet to complete it, thus this truck to me is a rat rod. The front suspension has been remodeled with air bags and some springs removed, so far the rear suspension has had a number of springs removed with a filler block added on each side. The front tires are Gladiator radials 255/70 x 22.5 and the rear tires are super singles, Michelin radials 445/50 x 22.5. The Michelins new are $1100 apiece. These are 16 1/2" tread width. I have a new stereo in the box that goes with the truck and a GPS that's on the windshield that I use for the speedometer and keep track of miles driven. I had a new windshield and seal installed, it has a brand new air ride seat with lumbar, and there is a console between the seats with special drink holders. These trucks have some dash issues. The factory tach works, speedometer works but needs the correct gear to make it read accurate, the fuel gauge works, and the air pressure gauges both work. I had a 3 gauge set installed on the lower dash area including oil pressure, temperature, and volts. Oil pressure is usually in the 50's unless its idling, I haven't seen the temperature go over 190. I have driven this truck over 4500 miles since April of 2025. A number of my trips in this truck going out 100 or more miles to car shows and cruise nights and coming home after dark. You may be wondering about fuel economy, it's been in the 10-11 mpg range. Reason I'm selling is I have neuropathy in my feet and lower legs making it harder for me to get in and out. I would rather keep it but I'm afraid of falling when getting in and out. This is a really cool truck with the right proportions. Gets a lot of attention. Over $33K invested, asking $16,900 may consider offers, A trade could be possible depending on what you have.
