Smith & Wesson Model 469, 9mm-- Venezuelan C.T.P.J. contract overrun
Very unusual Smith & Wesson Model 469 in 9mm, made for the Venezuelan C.T.P.J. (Cuerpo Tcnico de Polica Judicial).
The pistol has the Venezuelan crest on the right side of the slide and C.T.P.J. marked on the frame. These are a very scarce variation of the 469 and don't turn up often.
The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson lists the Venezuela-marked 469 as extremely rare, value in the four figures. There are only a handful of examples I've been able to find documented online, including one sold by Rock Island Auction. https://www.rockislandauction.com/d...n-police-marked-smith-wesson-model-469-pistol
The gun is a standard second-generation Model 469 mechanically: compact DA/SA 9mm with a 12-round double-stack magazine.
This one comes with one magazine only. No box or papers.
If you're into the older S&W autos, this is one of the more interesting and difficult 469 variations to find.
