Description: Traits required to succeed in this role: self-starter, work independently with minimum supervision, problem solver, and also to work as a member of a team. Both written and verbal communication is necessary to complete daily tasks; communication with co-workers, supervisors, and the public is a must. The job duties include, but are not limited to, operation of heavy equipment and trucks, manual labor in the areas of roadside maintenance, sweeping streets, snow removal, assisting in waste collection during special events, patching streets, etc.
Hours and Days may vary depending upon the season, weather events, and emergencies.
6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday, or 8:00 am-4 :30 pm. Monday - Friday, 12-hour shifts during weather events: 12:00 midnight to 12:00 noon and 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight.
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 months experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoe, skid-steer, motor graders, or equivalent. 2 years of experience with manual labor.
Must have a North Dakota commercial driver license, Class A or B, with air brakes.
Must be able to obtain tanker endorsement, within 4 months of employment.
