Mechanics Special. 2005 Chevy Equinox. The situation with this car here really P.M.O.!! I decided to fix this car up for my youngest two kids to use. Only known problem at the time was it needed a new blower motor, a drivers side mirror and it had one coolant leaktook it in to get that all fixed along with a new battery and an oil change. Mechanics says he found a 2nd coolant leak, so I said go ahead and fix it. Also had the wheel bearings done and I think break pads and rotors (Ill have to find the receipts, to verify on that) but all said and done cost about $1500 kids took it and it started over heating badly so I took it to another mechanic in Jamestown he replaced the thermostat, temp sensor and did a coolant flush. Another $500! Kids took it and it still over heatedso took it back to the first mechanic for him to then tell me theres coolant going into the head gaskets! So now it sits. It would be nice to get the $2k I invested but open to offers. It will have to be towed.
