Homer is a 2023 AQHA bay gelding sired by Lenas Playboy Magic, an NCHA money earner and own son of the legendary Freckles Playboy (LTE: $59,975; $24.5M+ NCHA sire), crossed on a daughter of Doc OLena.

On the bottom side, he is out of a daughter of SR Roosters Kid (LTE: $24,255), by the famous Gallo Del Cielo (Rooster), an NRHA $4 Million Sire. His second dam, Mega Bubble, is a NRHA earning mare by Marthas Mega Jac (LTE: $103,000+), crossed on a daughter of Topsail Whiz (NRHA $13 Million Sire).

This is the kind of pedigree with names stacked throughout his papers. Freckles Playboy, Doc OLena, Rooster, Marthas Mega Jac, and Topsail Whiz all in one pedigree is not something you see every day.

Now, I will call the elephant in the room: this guy is a bit homely and he has some looks to grow into in the pretty department. But what he lacks there, he makes up in his mind. Not only is he bred the part, but this guy is super easy to be around, kind, straightforward, and has absolutely no funny business. From the day this guy got here, he has had no buck, no rear, no running off, and has no vices. He is not one that comes out looking for an argument or trying to make things complicated. He shows up willing, wants to please, and has the kind of attitude that makes bringing a young horse along enjoyable.

This guy has about 60 days of riding, and hasnt had his legs ridden off. Under saddle, he goes around both ways, knows his leads, and has a solid foundation started underneath him. He is starting to stop, and is learning to break at the poll, in his ribs, and move a bit off of your legs. He has all the pieces you want to build from. He moves out willingly, stays sensible, and continues to improve with consistency. He has the athletic ability you would expect from his pedigree, but what we appreciate most is how easy he is to get along with.

This is the kind of gelding that could truly go in several directions. Take him toward ranch riding, ranch versatility, cow horse, sorting, roping, reining, or simply continue building him into a really nice all-around using horse. He has the breeding, the brain, and the start to let someone finish him their way.

If you are looking for a 3-year-old prospect with elite bloodlines, a willing attitude, and the kind of disposition that makes you look forward to riding him, you found him. He is bred to be talented, but more importantly, he is good minded enough to be useful.

Please call, ask questions, or set up an appointment to FaceTime us and meet this guy. Wed love to tell you about him.
