This would be a great car for a high school kid, or an economical work car. We're selling because we wanted something more suited to year round AWD college commuting. At 161,500 miles and 18 years old it has some rattles and creaky noises, but runs and drives just fine.
The Good: A/C works, electric windows and moonroof, factory auto start, new Hankook tires last fall have 5k miles on them, fresh alignment, new struts all around, transmission flushed and changed last fall, new CV shafts/joints last fall, replaced fuel pump and gauge sending unit, evap canister and solenoid, spark plugs, thermostat, headlight lenses, and power steering rack.
The Not-As-Good:
1. Even with new front struts there is a clunking sound when you turn the steering wheel, I suspect defective front strut bearings as the culprit. There are some rattles in the back end that we didnt track down even after replacing some suspension bushings.
2. OBD scan shows a PO420 catalyst system below threshold (when the check engine light is on, the autostart will not work until you clear the code, GM safety thing).
3. I have been told by the former driver that it will experience an occasional rough start which I have not experienced, but I would suspect a fuel pressure regulator or fuel pressure sensor, however it has not happened enough to diagnose the cause. None of the issues noted affect performance.
Title in hand. This car is for sale and local pickup. I'm not interested in trades, and I will not ship, scammers steer clear.
