Attaches to the vehicle in the trailer receiver, same as hooking up a trailer. Strong handles on each side to move it to the receiver, using 2 people. No crawling up onto the roof, this is at perfect height to stand and stow your cargo. It easily swivels to the side so you can normally open your rear endgate (the swivel picture is from the brochure and different color). It is made of a very thick poly structure and is mounted of very solid and strong steel. We purchased additional steel exhaust shields for each side and a few other options. This is not junk from overseas! It is 51" side to side, 23" across front to back, and 26" deep. It has a license plate holder, turn signals, brake lights, driving lights which plug into your 4-prong light receptor on the hitch receiver. It has a secure locking device. It is in like new condition. We've used it for a few trips with the family, but we don't travel much anymore. We've taken longs trip with it without a problem. Our price is a little over half of new price, but it is like new.
