This is a really hard post for our family to make, but we are starting to consider rehoming our almost 2-year-old poodle, Jack, and wanted to see if there might be a perfect fit out there for him.

My husband and I love Jack to bits and pieces, and this is absolutely not a decision we are making lightly. However, with our home being on the smaller side and us expecting another baby next month, we have been trying to be realistic about what is best for Jack long-term. He LOVES being outside, running around, and exploring, and we truly feel he would thrive with more space to enjoy himself. One of our biggest struggles has been keeping him clean after being outside, especially with how muddy our yard gets, and with winter approaching, we have honestly run out of options that work well for our family. We just want him to have the life and space we feel he deserves.

A little bit about Jack:

Almost 2 years old

Great with kids

Great with both cats and other dogs

May need a few days to warm up to new animals and settle in

Loves being outside, running, and exploring

Kennel trained

Up to date on vaccinations

Not neutered

Does pull a bit on the leash because he loves sniffing and exploring everything! We have been working on this, and it is something that could continue to improve with consistency.

Jack is a sweet boy who deserves a family that can give him plenty of love, attention, and room to be himself. We would especially love to find him a home with a yard or someone who enjoys spending lots of time outdoors with their dogs.

We want to be completely transparent about Jack and find the RIGHT home for him, not just any home. We will be asking a reasonable rehoming fee to help ensure he goes to a committed, loving family.
