Poker 12-Year-Old Black Pony Gelding

It breaks our hearts to write this, but we are offering our beloved Poker for sale.

Poker is a stunning 12-year-old jet black pony gelding with the sweetest personality you could ask for. He is broke to ride and has participated in playdays. More than anything, Poker loves people. He thrives on attention and is the kind of pony that wants to be your best friend.

Because of his exceptionally kind, gentle, and patient nature, we truly believe Poker would make an outstanding therapy pony or equine-assisted therapy partner. He genuinely enjoys being around people and has the calm, affectionate disposition that is so hard to find. Poker has been to playdays, rides around the farm and down the road.

He is 100% sound, barefoot, and up to date on all vaccinations, dental care, deworming, and farrier care.

We never planned to sell him. The only reason were making this incredibly difficult decision is because one of our other horses requires a very expensive surgery and ongoing medical treatment, forcing us to make some hard financial decisions.

Please read carefully: Poker must live on a dry lot 24/7, year-round, and be fed grass hay only. He cannot have access to pasture or grass. This requirement is non-negotiable, and his new home must already have the proper facility to safely manage his needs. Poker has had laminitis in the past however with correct management he has not had any issues. The management is simple - dry lot and grass hay only. He is not hypersensitive so some grass along the fence line or a few bites here and there won't cause a problem.

This is not a first-come, first-served sale. Finding the right home is far more important than making a quick sale. Serious inquiries only. Veterinary references will be required, and prospective buyers should be prepared to show they have an appropriate dry lot setup and understand the management Poker requires. The price is negotiable to a GOOD home.

We absolutely adore this little guy, and he deserves a home that will love him just as much as we do. Poker is worth every penny. He is for sale, not on sale.
