15-year-old 16HH Quarter Horse Gelding Ranch Horse

Whiskey is a big, stout gelding with a solid ranch background and the kind of presence that gets noticed wherever he goes. Hes been used around the ranch, ridden in parades, worked in arenas, and is the type thats had long days of hard work. Whiskey neck reins, moves off of leg, and is pretty well broke. He sometimes hesitates to go into a lope and is hesitant to stay in a lope for an extended period but after firmly asking and getting after him he is perfectly fine.

Ranch broke

More woah than go

Parade experienced

Easy keeper

Smooth ride

Whiskey is NOT a beginner horse. Little kids have ridden him before, but he is best suited for an experienced rider who understands horses and appreciates one with experience, feel, and a job-minded attitude. We sent him to a rancher who put 30 days on him back in 2023 and his three year old daughter was riding him around in the arena. He is a little spooky on the ground after not being handled for a while. We have never had any health issues. We have owned him for 6 years now and only selling because we have too many horses and he is not what we are needing anymore. He is simply too slow to be a barrel horse. He has been hauled around quit a few times and has no problems with the trailer, he is fine with slant or stock. He has mainly been my dads horse but my dad isnt riding much anymore so he has been sitting in pasture quite a bit these past few years. I truly think he could be a great horse if someone but some time into him. Hes has not had his feet done since May due to the lack of him being ridden and has not had teeth done recently but we have no problem having both done before going to his next home!
