SBC 327 Small Journal Engine

Block Casting is 3782870, 1962-1967

Heads are 3731539, 283 Heads from 1957 to 1966 with 1.72/1.05

Bore is 40 over

Rods are 30 under

Mains are 20 under

When purchased was told strong rebuild with about 2K miles on it. After installing noticed it smokes a little blue at high RPMs. Looked over and found #3 cylinder has some wear near the top of the cylinder wall where the rings do run over. Not knowing if boring to 60 over would clean up I went another route not wanting any sleeves. Good oil pressure, good power, sounds nice. Has a Comp 280 cam with hydraulic flat taper lifters.

I do have a video of it running. Would make a great derby engine or something like that, just not what I am wanting at this time.

Message me with any questions. Will come as shown other than no flywheel and water pump.
